Board Meetings

Meeting dates, agendas, board packets, and speaker registration information for the Friends of Energy Governing Board will be posted below.

Hearing of the Citizens: Speaker Guidelines & Procedures 

Advance Registration

• Individuals wishing to address the Board must register at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the board meeting.
• Late registrations will not be accepted.
• To register, submit your request using the FOE Speaker Request Form.
• When signing up, speakers must provide their name, address, email and the specific topic they wish to address.

Time Allocations & Adjustments

• Standard Time Limit: Each registered speaker is allowed 2 minutes to address the Board.
• High-Volume Adjustment: If more than 15 citizens sign up to speak, the time limit for all speakers will be reduced to 1 minute per person to ensure the meeting stays on schedule.

Meeting Conduct & Guidelines

• Order of Speakers: Citizens will be called to the podium in the order their registrations were received.
• Stating Name/Topic: Upon reaching the podium, the speaker must state their name and address for the official record.
• Speaker Conduct: Remarks must be kept respectful and pertain to school/FOE business. Personal attacks against individual staff members or students are not permitted.
• Board Deliberation: By law, the Board cannot deliberate or take action on items that are not formally posted on the meeting agenda. The Board may listen to the comments or direct the Executive Director to look into the matter.
